First time customer and I'll be back! Great, fast, courteous service. Food was hot and amazing. Best orange chicken I've had in awhile. Can't wait to try other dishes. Prices are reasonable as well. Adding to my list of preferred eateries here in Las Vegas.
Holy Heck. First time here, my non vegan roommate didn't want to go because (see my other reviews) he was saying the usual crap that he wouldn't like it and would need to stop at Burger King on the way home. But die will be done, I didn't choose it.. We sat down at a Booth. Inside was clean and very nicely decorated. Dennis, our waiter came over and asked what we wanted and we said "first time in" so he said to take our time. Came over a few later and we ordered Thai tea for me which was AMAZING I ordered the egg custard tartlets and I insisted he try the cheese wontons...He didn't want to but he ended up loving them, I loved my tarts, I do see what reviewer meant when she said that they fell apart but hey, they tasted so good so who cares? Creamy and sweet and wow....I wanted 20 more! I ordered orange chicken and was worried it would be chewy since I don't have teeth (car accident) and my roommate got the sweet & sour chicken and he was like, wait--I ordered vegan chicken, I said, well, its a vegan restaurant....He was shocked, he could not believe how much it tasted like regular chicken. Mine was so good too, melt in your mouth deliciousness. He says, when are we coming back?? LOL By the way, The booths were super comfortable--Just a note for me-- my ONLY negative was that Dennis brought the bill and didn't ask if we wanted dessert, I had mentioned to him when we sat down that I might get it.....but I had decided not to but he had no way to know that...... Unless he heard me say it from the kitchen... I don't know... But anyways, I have found my go to restaurant for Chinese food, I am so happy!!!!!
I have been to Chef Kenny's several times. Service is always great and attentive. The lunch bento box was great to get a little variety of several items. It came with miso soup, entree, rice, dumplings, sushi & salad. The pho was so so.
This place was great! Met expectations for our vegan dim sum dinner. We came here on a Saturday night. Plenty of parking and no wait for a party of 3. We got the BBQ pork buns and fried chicken from the dim sum menu. Pad Thai, spicy tuna sushi from the regular menu. Everything was great, except the spicy tuna roll (I liked it though my friends did not). The roll was hard to pick up (broke apart easily). Service was very fast and friendly. Would come back!
Amazing food! Pork bun amazing and the orange chicken and good service!!!! 10/10
Everything was great. Down to the service and choices of dishes We loved the shrimp fried rice and the spicy scallop. This place is my go to place as soon as I land in Vegas. The staff is also very genuinly friendly. I like that. They also recommend great dishes if you are not sure what to get. But defiantly get the fried rice. Ugh, its all so good! No need to make reservations. Every time ive been there, there is always room!
Love Chef Kenny's! One of my fav vegan places in Vegas. I love the Walnut Shrimp and Crispy Beef!!! Today though, we finally came early enough to do some lunch specials (and I was honestly surprised by how many people were there at opening!): Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special and Yee Shang Eggplant Lunch Special. Both specials each come with a cup of the daily soup, and ours today was a vegetable soup with tofu. The Kung Pao Chicken was listed as spicy, but I didn't find it particularly spicy. I did love it though, and I wished that there was a higher ratio of chicken to vegetables on my plate, but I enjoyed the veggies and the nuts!! The Yee Shang Eggplant is comparable to the Sautéed Eggplant at China Mama! Overall, always a yummy time at Chef Kenny's. Good service, cute spot, good food.
Food: tasty Service: quick and descriptive Ambiance: clean, cultural, and open space What a great find! My family and I came here because we were eating vegan for the day. We ordered: Yee Shang eggplant Walnut shrimp Deep fried taro with chicken Spicy tuna sushi roll House friend rice Cantonese fried fish Egg and vegetables noodle Everything was flavorful, fresh, and tasty! My favorite was the fried rice and Cantonese pan fried fish. The flavors and sauces on both were really good. Even though the sushi looked cool and was unique, I didn't like the it as much. The spicy tuna was made of carrot, and I don't really like mushy carrots like that. Chef Kenny was there for the Xmas holiday and he prepped a unique dish for us and another table. It was the egg with veggies noodle. It contained actual egg*. It was really good! My family was surprised by how much they liked the food. They are excited to go back and try other dishes!
